We have an in-house gemological laboratoryand our appraisals are performed by two participating appraisers. An added feature to our appraisals is that we include high definition digital photography that gets printed next to each item described; we also include a HD photomicrograph of major center stones, along with an actual plot showing their individual identifying characteristics. Coffrin Jewelers offers loose gemstone certification and gemstone recutting. Our gemologists will perform individual loose gemstone reports on most gemstones, we can also have your gemstones identified and graded by GIA, the world's foremost gemological authority and independent laboratory. We offer gemstone cutting, recutting and repolishing though our resources. Every type of gemstone behaves and wears differently and we know cutters who specialize in their types of gems and services. About our Appraisers: Darren S. Blum is a Graduate Gemologist (G.G.), since 1991 that studied in residency at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), an Accredited Senior Gemologist through the Accredited Gemologists Association (AGA); possesses Certificates of Achievements from ASA for GJ205: Gems & Jewelry Appraisal Theory, Methods and Application, GJ206: Master Gemologist Appraiser Course and for completing the 16 hour National Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice Course (USPAP). Christine Docter has been engaged in the jewelry businesses since 1981 and is a Graduate Gemologist (G.G.) from GIA, since 2007. |
