Un grand designer... d'une simplicite' absolute!

Call me Claude.., not Mr. Thibaudeau, he says! That's how down to earth this world renowned jewelry designer really is.

Born in the french speaking city of Montreal on June 29, 1958, Claude learned about the jewelry business at a very young age by frequenting the Thibaudeau family's repair shop established by his great grand father Ulric in 1872. He studied every aspect of manufacturing and, at age 16, was already an impressive gem setter. He perfected the art of jewelry design well before mastering the English language, which would prove very valuable later on in his career. At age 25, he undertook to manufacture his own collection in the basement of his home. He traveled around promoting and selling his designs to jewelry retailers in the Montreal area. His wife Monique handled the companies accounting, while his 21 year old brother Marc joined the team as a sales manager. In 1992, Claude made his first foray into the United States at the JCK Las Vegas Trade show. In 1995, after he won the prestigious Canadian La Griffe D'or award for best jewelry designer, the company expanded rapidly into the U.S. And Caribbean markets. New doors opened in 2002, when the company was invited to exhibit at the Basel World jewelry show in Switzerland. Of the 2,200 manufacturers represented, Thibaudeau was the only Canadian designer. The collection is now available at some of the finest jewelry boutiques in the United States, Canada, and Europe.

Over the years, Claude has created thousands of exquisite pieces and marketed many well known exclusive collections, such as Pure Perfection, La Cathedrale and his famous patented concept, The Inseparables..., two piece intertwined bands. Claude is truly dedicated to creating the finest quality of Platinum or 18KT jewelry or, as he says, “la crem de la crem”. His efforts are rewarded by the many letters and emails he receives every week from consumers thanking him for making a magic moment in their lives, such as a wedding or anniversary, even more memorable.., or for simply remounting a special sentimental stone on a new Thibaudeau design.

Claude's enthusiasm and success can be attributed to his positive attitude, which is reflected in his great team. His philosophy of “every day surpassing what has been achieved yesterday” is inspired by his love for jewelry and for his two most precious creations..., Hann and Frances Thibaudeau.
